Guys anyone got any ideas on how to get the gearbox plug off that just don't wanna come out :nono: it's been heated up, a 2ft extension bar on it and still no budge, the bleedin square plug inside the plug itself is starting to wear away now :headvswal

or as a last resort if you knacker the square drive in the plug weld a socket to it had to do this to a shite ford mondeo sump plug

And dont heat the plug, itll just expand and get tighter. Its the area around the hole that needs heat, but i dont fancy trying to heat an ally gbox.

 

best just give it a smack as has already been said. if that fails it could be a drill and easy out job!!

Had thought about drilling, but all that crud possibly getting inside didn't inspire me with confidence.. thanks the options fellas, we're still trying so anymore let me know please, this is all that's stoping me finishing a few jobs off.

At the garage we have a gun called Big Bertha, if she cant remove a nut/bolt, nothing can! :D
