I had my Profec-B II boost controller installed yesterday by Jonce (thanks again mate!), that's working ok - he did exactly the same on my car as he did on his own.

When the controller is switched off, I've found that I'm still boosting to 12+ psi though, anyone have an idea why this might be?

Before the controller was put in, my Z was boosting to 9psi (on my Auto Meter gauge) and the only other thing done at the same time as the controller install was me replacing my knackered throttle body pipes (sleeves for TB mounted BOVs, actually) with Smithy ones.

on mine bud i have the blitz sbc-id and even with it switched off my turbo's boost to 13.5 psi as thats what the actuators on the tubs are set to , so no matter what, thats the minimum they will go regardless of boost controller or not , ( dunno if that helps at all )

Right, that makes sense mate - cheers for that! :)

BUT if the turbos on mujinas car were boosting to 9psi before the ebc was fitted then its NOT the actuators. im guessing when the ebc is switched off the solenoid valve/nozzle/whatever that controls the boost leaves a smaller diameter hole than the stock wastegate hoses, therefore causing a restriction and acting as a boost jet.

Cheers for that Yas. It was also suggested to me last night, that I check the vac pipes, in case one has popped off, so I'll be doing that this afternoon as things conspired against me last night.

What you said also makes sense to me though.
