sorry it's 245/45/17.

 

Just about, but you'd really need at least an 8 inch wide rim for the best fit.

 

Oh, and that would be 245/40/17 to keep the overall diameter as close to stock as possible, assuming that's for a rear wheel. You'd have 225/45/17 fronts with that.

If it helps, on my Mk3 Supra before my ZX, I had 7.5 x 17 wheels all round with 225/45s on front and 245/40s on the rear and they fitted and drove just fine.

245/45 will fit 7.5 rims, but 245/40 is not advisable

i have the same problem, wanted to fit 245/40 17s to keep the right ratio

but i have to use 245/45 instead
