My bare backside

...no its not what you think...honest wink.gif

the rear of my Z will be de-badged soon as I'm getting a round tail light conversion. I'm not sure whether to go for the anonymous 'guess what car this is' look, or whether to put a new style red "Z" badge in the centre of it, or something else to fill the space.

Cheerz,

Dave

I'm debadging mine completely! wink.gif

Including the Nelson burger on the bonnet, I was parked in Tesco car park a few weeks ago and some old git and his Mrs. Old Git walked past my car. He was intrigued as to what it was, looking at the hood badge(hood is so much more a better word than bonnet don't you think?) I was amazed! biggrin.gif

When you lot were going on about people asking "What is it?" I was a bit dubious, but they do...it's sad and weird at the same time.

So off come all references to Nelson on mine, gonna be more like a stealth bomber with Taliban 911's for targets! ROFL biggrin.gif

Hi Dave

I de-badged the car when I had mine done and just put the z badge on. Even after seeing the badge people still say WTF is that!!!!

I have heard people call it a ferrari and a porsche!!( of all things ). I was in Curry's carpark the other day and two small kids were looking at my car. One said thats a nissan fairlady isn't it, I have got one on Gran Turismo. Its too hard to control the back end on it!!. I said you should try driving a real one in the wet!!!

I was driving home from work the other week through Rufford, and three young kids stood at the side of the road and just pointed at the car as I drove past - mouths open....I was laughing that much I nearly crashed!

Yeh, I left the Z badge on the hood, and the twin turbo badge on the rear end (and the 300zx across rear lights and my window as theres nowt I can do about them).

Inside it's just the Z on the steering wheel too. No Datsun badges anywhere... which is nice.

As you say, folk very rarely know what it is. I've had folk thing it was a lambo and a masarati a few times too.

I just tell them its a z-car. And that they are made in custom-built factory in japan.

true... if not exactly the whole truth.

You can't beat that stare when they haven't a clue what car it is, all they know is it looks f***ng ace!!

Mine looks like a Bugatti EB-110 apparently!

Just a Z badge for me as it's an import.

Coming out of Maccy D's one day, a couple of work men were stood being the Z and I heard one of them say to the other. "That 'as 2 turbo's does".

As I approached he asked if it went well and not wanting to swing my dick too much, I told him that I really enjoyed the drive and it was a lovely car to own...blah blah blah..etc etc....

Shortly after I informed him that they are the best kept secret on the road and are quite cheap to buy in relation to what you get...to which he advised me that the reason for this was due NOBODY WANTING THEM!

I suppose he's right.

ISN'T HE, EVERYBODY?
