Hey,

Have noticed my oil pressure guage doing crazy things. It seems to rest on about 1 bar then when I press the accelerator, it rises almost like the revs to about 4 bar then no more, when I let off it drops back down again. I have checked the oil level and that is fine. Any ideas?

Also, When having filled my tank, when trying to accelerate, the engine stumbles really badly, and a light on the dash comes on like an exhaust overheating, can't find this light in the manual. It burns through a 1/4 tank in about 15 miles then after that normal fuel consumption and running resume. Any ideas on this too?

If that isn't enough questions, then does anybody know what the nearest specialist garage is to oxford or reading.

Any help would be really appreciated!!

Cheers

Jon

oil pressure should rise with the rev's mine gos from 20psi up to 100psi when ragging it.

Bugger, doesn't sound good, may sound really stupid but what are cats and how much is that gonna cost!!

Jon

That light is deffo the cats, possibly overheating.

Try Ryan @ Ztech in the traders forum, he's in baydon,

wiltshire, just off the m4.

Cats = Catalytic Convertors. You can always de-cat, depending on the

age of your z, but that opens up a whole new can of worms!

Try doing a search for 'decat'...

probably a loose coil pack connection. explains poor running, fuel consumption and the cats overheating.

doh! you can tell I'm mechanically minded! What's a de-cat?

Anyone heard of a place called Motovation, apparently it's near me!
