Put your paint balls in the freezer the night before ? :x:

Or smear your face with animal droppings and occasionally do a forward roll?

Never asume your team mates can shoot, I once ran down a long trench asking two guys I knew to lay down a little cover fire well I went for their base. Made it two feet before a loud crack, and my hand was on fire, didn't think to wait for me to get down in it and start running! I made it one foot, stopped, shoutted, ran back and hid behined a barrel rubbing my hand like **** lmfao

Sneaking up on ppl can be good, but when they shit it and see you / swing round they tend to panick and just pull the trigger, I got shot in the throat by my brother like this, right on the adam apple, couldn't speak or catch my breath for a bit, and had to come out of that round. I think this is way dangerous and throat protection should come as standard. Nut sure what they have there, but where we went last they just had the usual goggles, which also covered the ears, and the jumpsuit.

It really is a good crack, expect to get hurt though! Most of them balls when they hit you at a good distance just split the skin, your left with a perfect circular cut on your arm/ leg!!

But TBH its brill fun, enjoy it mate :), oh some ppl wear a jumper / second pair of trousers under their suits to pad it out a bit, but that's just cheating ;)

I read in an article in the paper a bloke was shot in the back of the neck with a paint ball and that it broke his neck and now he is six feet under  . But dont let that put you off as paint ball is great fun.

paintballing rocks!!!!!

You should AT LEAST wear a jumper under the overalls they will give you, even if its baking hot, get a jumper on cos it hurts, FACT!

Fingerless gloves are a must too, it really really really hurts if you get hit on bare flesh, so the more you can cover the better, you really dont want to get shot in the balls either.

Id also wear some decent walking boots for it if your running around the woods, in trainers youll just slip over.

When the whistle blows, let all the psychos run off and get shot first, theres always some in every group, then you go forward and shoot whats left.

Dont get too trigger happy or it will cost you a fortune at the end of the day when you have to pay for all your balls.

usually when you have been shot the rules say to get your hand in the air and walk off the field. Make sure you have your hand in the air nice and clear, cos its bad enough getting shot once but it you get shot again as you leave the field that will REAALLLY piss you off, so if you have been shot make sure everyone knows it, otherwise you will proabably end up getting shot again.

Some places you go to you only get a crappy armband to distinguish between teams, if your wear this at albow level, you can bend your arm covering it up in the elbow joint. This can allow you to sometimes get a bit close to the foe before they suss you out, but you will have shot them by them!!

If your under cover and you shoot at somebody and miss but they spot you and tell all their team mates where you are put your head between you legs and kiss your ass good bye.(this happened to me and i looked like an advert for Dulux)

Really? fookin hell, the ball didnt even explode on my neck, it hit my adams apple and that made it spin off. Thought I was ****ing dying for a minute tho.

Just thought of something, they / you have to spray your goggles b4 you go in with this stuff so it doesnt steam up. Make sure you do a propper job cause if you move your goggles in game to try and get your fingers in to unsteam them you will get pulled out of the game (understandable really) So make sure you get a good load of that shit on them. After an hour or so of running around it will be dripping with moisture, and will steam up propper.

One of the guys is an ex-soldier, 2 tours in Ireland, 1 in Gulf 1, and several in non hostile surroundings, ie Aldershot and Camberley ???

He is doing it in just shorts !!! For charity I might add !! ;)

lmfao good luck then mate!! sounds like you could need it!!

Bloke going in shorts is just mad, then again, the overalls you have on are like paper anyway so it doesnt make much diff I guess.

Last one I went to was a stag do for two ppl i know. First whistle the stags ran, second we gave chase, and third was a free for all. Was well funny, all running after them then all of a sudden you heard the third whislte everyone just span around to the person next to them and paused like statues trying to back off a little before shooting, but unsure if the other was going to shoot. Was way too funny, it all kicked off after Ibacked away from someone, and that was when I snuck into a bunker where my bro was and startled him, whammo, paint ball to the throat

I think one of the rules is you cannot shoot a person from less than 10 feet away but no one pays any attension to that, i was shot in the @ss from 3 feet away and to say it stang like f*** doesnt quite cover it.

This sounds mental !! :p

It starts at 10.00am and after a half hour instruction course, you have 2 seperate games. Stop for lunch, no liquor license, so if you want beer, bring your own, no problem, they supply a buffet for lunch , then 2 more games, finishing around 4.40 ish. 500 pellets, protective goggles and overalls for £45 a head !!

Onlt downside id Banzai magazine is up here and I will miss the meet with Scottywill !! :(

Alan.

Best advice would be to RUN and don't look back, othrwise you know one of your mates are gonna be there ready to shoot you!!!!

I went last summer, and came back so bruised and battered that i took a week of work :(

Other than that, its great fun  :)

You will buy more pelets there mate, guaranteed, you will go through them much quicker than you thought. We spend tons more on pellets compared to what they supply. well worth it tho.

They do hand grenades for £3.00, de-mystifyers for £5.00 and "flame throwers" for £15.00

Think this will cost me a few quid !! ;)

Big kid ya see!

Alan.

Alan.....

ran a site for a while with a mate...played loads in the late 80's early 90's...did a big game once of approx 400 a side...like a war..so much paint flying...good memories...saw a guy knocked out with a ball in the ear...shots to the throat are nasty too seen a few folks go down as if they was pole-axed...i used to owe a full padded suit and head gear covering throat ears, several guns etc...took a shot in the mouth once thought it'd knocked my tooth out...thankfully only split my lips the paint was red so along with my claret it looked worse...have fun...!!

Played a few months ago, this arse hole blasted about thirty rounds in to me at about six foot, while I was pulling the flag up and my gun was jammed, it fooking hurt me on the arse, leg, side and arm, I felt like giving him a good hiding tbh, but with all the darth vader gear on I never found him again, day after I only felt a bit sore, I think some people make it sound dangerous but as long as you keep the gear on you cant get shot anywhere serious, as a big point though, the pain makes it a good game!.

The only downer was the cost, we were using 200 rounds a game and it was £4 per 100, (after the initial freebe of 200 rounds), you might think this seems ok, but we had already paid about £25-30 to start with, and there was about six games for each group. this would have worked out at about £70, so it was a bit pricey at that one

Any way have a good time Mate

bit of water and washing up liquid on the goggles stops them misting up, wear a scarf around your neck, one that gives you enough padding without being too hot, i've seen people hit on the neck and its nasty, one bloke when i was painting got hit on the side of the neck and literally had a bump the size of an apple come up within seconds.

be prepared for the next day also, if you havnt done physical activity for a while then you probably won't be able to walk very well if at all lol. I find the pain of being hit by a ball makes it more realistic :D, i've had bruises that have lasted 4 weeks however.

its wicked fun though, i'd be up for a day out,

I remember that every time I go, I end up getting way to carried away and diving around and sliding all over the place way beyond the capability of my body, quite often half way through the day I can hardly walk let alone the next day lol

i got hit in the temple from close range once  some git was on the wall above me while i was crawling through a hole! i just felt the sting, then started feeling really sick for about 3 hours afterwards - only sat out for one of the games tho. this was at rebel paintball in ratby.

i remember there was this real fat kid there. i found myself behind enemy lines, came out of my cover, shot him in the arse and he didnt even notice
