The front of the engine has been squeeking alot and I have finally found out what it is.

All of the belts are squeeking, they are not slipping as I have adjusted the tension on all of them but now they just squeek as they go round.

Is there anything I can do to stop them squeeking? Are there any old tricks I can do?

Are they all new belts Stu? If they're in good condition and haven't got damp, the tension adjustment should really sort this out..

Steve :)

* EDIT * Otherwise, try the talc. Don't do what my main dealer recommended: WD40 :slap:

Have you got an alloy underdrive pulley, mine is doing the same, duffy tells me the alloy pulleys do it alot, or maybe your water pump is on the way out?

They are all new belts in good condition and yes I have a lightened pulley.

I will try the talc trick too.

You can get proper 'belt dressing'-I use it at work and instantly quietens squeaky belts!
