Help guys!!

I was installing the 1990-91 Nissan 300ZX Z32 Turbo White Face Glow Dials of E-Bay.

After realising that the gauges didn't fit, I put the old ones back on. Now the Temp needle and rev needle does not work!!

I thought this would just automatically re-ajust its self, but i was wrong.

Can anyone help??

1) Dials not working:

Did you manage to dismantle everything without damaging the plastic circuit sheet?

Dunno how much you took it apart, but every dial has (at least!) 4 screws which electrically connect the circuit sheet at the back to the circuit board PCB for that dial. Inspect all of the metallic pads on the circuit sheet to make sure they're ok, coz if not the dial won't work properly. Same goes for all connecting areas, but I reckon those are the easiest to break.

Also check that the parts of the circuit sheet where the connectors plug in are fitted correctly before you plug the connectors back in.

Make sure all the connectors are seated properly, and that they're all connected up. You might find that you give one of them a wiggle and it sorts itself all out.

2) Dials didn't fit:

Presumably you tried to fit turbo dials to an NA, or the wrong type of turbo dials for your car (UK in a Jab, or vice versa). If the description of the dials wasn't clear, then get your hard-earned pennies back!

Mark,

Thanks for the reply.

I will check all the connections and the circuit sheet tonight.

Regarding the wrong dials, the ones i got just go up to 160MPH and with the needle showing 100MPH i would only be going roughly 60MPH. I think they have sent me dials for a UK spec as the oil pressure values are in UK standards.

Have e-mailed to get a replacement, just have to wait and see.

Just a thought would an UK Dash dials fit into mine? take it i would need a new sender from the gear box as well? Then the dials would fit?
