Elephants!!!

My Bro had been telling me to try Elephant for ages, so due to Diane having a right mare getting a decent quote I tried and not bad! wink.gif

I did try for an import first but that meant ringing them, so I went back and changed everything to be my car.

I've recently quoted and started paying 893 squid with protected NCB etc. But that was 6K miles a year so limited mileage policy and I've only got a couple of years NCB anyway.

With Elephant...

31 years old

2 years NCB

1991 UK spec Twin Tub Auto Red

Valued 7.5K

12K miles a year average

250 squid voluntary excess

Didn't mention alarm

Didn't mention garaged or parked on street

Mods.

Aftermarket induction kit

Aftermarket exhaust

ECU putting out between 11 percent and 26 percent more bhp

Kerching 892 squid!!!

So, needless to say, I could be paying the same as I am now including those mods and doing an extra 6K in miles a year...result wink.gif

Oh, and you can bullshit the ECU figure output aswell, they have three different percentage increases to select and who's gonna check that FFS! biggrin.gif

Yeah, you're right mate, not alot you can do really! It sucks big time!

I suppose this is where people can try to get away with it...boost jets instead! Less complicated and you can't physically see 'em wink.gif

Timmy, that elephant quote, no doubt was for 3rd party fire and theft??, cos they quoted me£962 for fully comp protected no claims and full discount bonus for 1990 t.t. auto in silver.. standard (for the quote)

Have you read the small print of Elephant?

To make a claim you have to talk to them online, not always best or phone them on a number at 40p per min.

I noticed this when I looked a few months ago.

It might have changed by now

NO WAY JOSE!

Fully Comp. would never have TPFT on any vehicle ever again. Have lost two cars to having TPFT cover only.

Would have it on a Honda Blackbird though! Coz if I ever went belly up on one of those things I doubt I'd be around to make any claims or speak to any Insurance company anyway...ROFLMFAO biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Where do some of you guys live? Beiruit?

See, living in sheep shagging country does have its distinct advantages...only vehicles that get nicked in de Wales...Aiiii...are tractors! LMFAO biggrin.gif

Elephant quoted me £362 for my car, but I was just a bit dubious about handing over my credit card number to them. Heard a few tales about Elephant's security which didn't inspire me a whole lot smile.gif

And that was £362 Fully Comp, etc etc...
