I have got a rather strange problem with the temperature gauge.

It is the std gauge in the dash...

When ever you rev the car (say from 2,000-4,000rpm) the temperature gauge drops to almost the cold mark.

I do a 50mile journey and it was still doing it at the end.

The engine is normal temperature.

Any one got a Didgeredo please?

Temp sensor!!

located on the front of the engine, on the water pipe (hard type) 2 connectors its the right one, should be yellow.

Check the connection, see if it has green fir on it and also check the clip.

There not expensive and there is a few traders on here that can get them, MJP would more than likely have them in stock.

LOL - my aftermarket water temp gauge goes up with engine load/revs. When the engine is hot, it stays where it should, but until then, the temp reading drops when idling  I've tightened up the sender and this seemed to help, but it still happens now and then :(

Sorry to hijack! :slap:

Its actually the black connector which feeds the dashmounted temp guage - the yellow one is for the ECU only.

Make sure the black connector makes good contact (clean both male & female connectors if necessary). I've had to tie-wrap mine to the connector to keep the airflow from the fan from pushing it off the connector ...
