My Z32!! - Pics at last!!

Hi Folks,

I've just edited my rides section in my profile and have added pics of my swb flared arch z32 tt. Gonna b pickin it up on the weekend hopefully, - cant wait!. Its been almost a year! - but deff well worth it i reckon. B nice 2 hear ur views on it peeps.

The colour shots are poorer quility pics so cannot appreciate the chromaflare + the fact that the rims have gone 4 refurbishment. Looks alot nicer in reality. Flips from green to light green to blue to purple to muove + a bit of silver too.

Will put sum new pics up of the finished project very soon.............

Av' a good 1 guyz..............

I saw this Z at the SE open day and even without paint it looked the nuts!

Out of interest K4$H, how much did you pay for the paint and where did you find to get it done?

I'm looking at getting the DuPont Chromalusion paint done on mine, but can only find one UK place that will touch this paint and have heard bad things about them frown.gif

Thanks

Ajay.

Ajay, theres a good paint shop near me which do all that kind of paint. They are called Mach1 Motorsport in Great Dunmow. They are quite dear but as you know you get what you pay for. Have a word with them. The numbers 01371 878472. Speak to Paul. be aware though, they are fully booked now till next April!!!!

Ur not wrong!, looked stupid with them wheels on while the others were away gettin refurbished.

Anyways for u guys that are intersted in the kit, its a basic flared arch

kit modified to my preferences, which is y it took so friggin long. I had the skirts modified to fit. The whole vent in the front wing followed by the grooves in the doors into the huge scoop in the flare was totally my imagination. These actually took the longest 2 do.The bonnet is also a first for the Z by SE. The venturi tunnel thingy is based on Andy's almighty 600zx without the center fins (for those who know wot his car looks like, actually it can b seen in the background of a couple of the pics in my profile). The spoiler is also a one off. Will upload new pics soon. Its basically a big fin sittin high up on two aluminium legs with dragon pics engraved on them. The front bumper is an original Strosek piece modified again 2 my preferences with the big mouth, lower lip and side vents moulded in. PB rear light conversion with the PB rear bootlid skin. The f/bumper is actually for sale for those who are interested. So are the rims. Theyre all fully refurbished now. THey are the classic AZEV A measuring 18 x 8.5 front and 18 x 10 rears and theyre wrapped in bridgestone so-2's, 225, 35, 18 - front and 255, 35, 18 rears. Offers around £1300.

I basically didnt want to have a car that was the same as another because i wanted 2 keep the car unique, made from my imagination......which is y i guess it took so long and cost so friggin much!.

Take care peeps!

Kash

Very nice mate!

When you're talking about Andy what'shisnames 600ZX spoiler being a one off, do you mean the rear jobby?

That's the one I like, but PB are doing it as a proper Z spoiler now! Well similar anyway, I understand the one on Andys was a Toyota rear spoiler from Veilside or summat wink.gif

Ajay,

Chromaflare paint normally costs between £500 to £1000 a litre and is pretty difficult 2 use which is probably y u hav heard bad things about them. U need 2 give it 2 a paintshop that has used that sort of paint b4. SE is a good bet as they done my paintwork but as far as prices and bookings go u will need to speak 2 them. U can call them on 01621 858856 - but b prepared 2 b in 4 a long wait......................

Thanks Chris F and K$4H, I will look into it. I have done some research on the Paint and it is no more difficult to spray than ordinary paint, according to one particular DuPont website that I found. Lots of blurb as to why - but it's all re-printed in an old post that I started.

The bad things that I have heard are about the one place that I knew about that could do this. But I may try those places and see what they can do. I'm more flexible now, after getting the company car, so don't need the Zed every day.

Thanks!
