As summer is slowly approaching, I need to sort out my Aircon.

 

Aircon works perfectly fine when I turn it on, except for a loud deep whirring noise from engine bay, that changes note with engine RPM. So I just use it in 'eco' mode, which makes no noise.

 

I would guess its the Aircon pump bearings or something like that ?

 

If replacing the Pump...would the system then need to be regassed ?

That whirring will be the magnet clutch on your aircon pump.

To confirm you can test with Conzult if you know anyone with one?

Thats the same whirring that happened to mine till i cut the belt off lol
