Put my powertrix upper arms on last week, and finally set them up this weekend.

Initially, without them on camber was ~ -2.5° on both fronts.

Played around a bit and around -1.0° seems to give the best feel, car feels much more stable in a straight line.

Set the castor up to 9° aferwards, which is where I had it before. Seems OK, steering weights up nicely.

Overall, seem to be able to lean on the front much harder now than before and not use the diff to steer it so much.

Odd thing is that the inital over-dartiness on turn in that I'd put down to excess toe appears to have gone, but not sure yet if that's because the toe settings have been affected by adjusting the camber (i'm thinking shortening the upper arm length has moved the track rod end inboard).

very nice modification to do bro, nice to read about.

How low is yours John?

Had all my arms adjusted with a 4-wheel alignment the other day after getting it all fitted. had -3.5deg and -4.5deg camber on the front!! anyhow, put it all in spec(camber, castor & toe), and found drivers side wheel sitting to far forward in the wheel arch and clipping the wing over every bump. That one has now been put back to avoid catching. Weird thing is the pass side is fine. (my car is lowered so much you can't put your hand between wheel & arch!)

Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread. But yes I agree, the adjustable arms do wonders for the handling :D

iv set mine up at -1deg camber also, iv set the castor at 10deg however.

the difference in camber will certainly effect toe in.

james - stangely enough my drivers front wheel sits closer to the front of the car (not enough to rub tho), i ever carried out another wheel alignment cos i thought it may have had a funny 5 mins!! but settings are all spot on!?!

Mine's not lowered all that much, think it's about 3cm.

The only place I get a slight rub is on the arch shroud where it covers the brake pipe manifold on the RHS, but that's only since fitting 245's on the front.

I have adjustable upper arms on and had to put on adjustable tension rods to counter act and pull wheels back away from the front archs, but now being all adjustable you can get a near on perfect alignment. I would like to know why your not suppose to fit adjustable upper arms without adjustable lowers, as i have read alot mind.
