I know there's a few of you out there that "bulk up", can any of you recommend a muscle building supplement? Progain etc?

I broke my humerus :smash: ( x-ray below!) on a recent stag do in Amsterdam :duffer: (I had only been there 4 hours!!) and 6 weeks on, my arm has just wasted away from being in a cast. I'm looking to rebuild it at a reasonable rate.

The worst thing is, I'm too weak to drive the Zed!!!!!!

Any help / advice?

Cheers,

Matt.

yes it will generally fuse but not necessarily, I'm not telling him to wait 2 years to work out, simply advised seeing his Dr for recommendations for levels of exercises etc, its not just the bones that need to heal also, muscle, tissue and nerve damage all have to repair themselves.

My dads been seen by the doctors that worked on beckham, rooney and cissey and all say after care treatment are more important than the age of a patient.

I agree Mike, obviously use common sense but the medical community will always advise you to do nothing. I mean if you go and see your GP with a back problem the answer is bed rest! Whereas a trip to a good osteopath will sort it. Doing nothing or taking it too easy would be counter productive.

At least your dad is seeing specialists but bone density does go with age and does effect fusing of. I work with GP's and they admit to me that their knowlegde is very limited. Thats why I lecture them on drugs in sport etc.

Karl? What comp? Ive retired now but used to compete nationally within NABBA and EPF. I might know you:D

There are now some places who teach people to live through the pain barrier. People whoes lives have been ruined by pain when they do normal tasks such as walking, are going to physio and psychologists to learn how to live through the pain.

Some people said the more active the became the less the pain was, others said that the pain was the same but for some reason it didnt effect them as much. This took people a long time to do before they felt the benifit, but it was better than sitting at home doing nothing and in constant pain.

This is completely the opposite to what doctors would have said to do 3-4 years ago. Then they would have told people to take it easy and take pain killers.

Look at whiplass victims. 10 years ago you had a colar on and was told not to move your neck. Now you get nothing because the best thing is to keep it moving.

Now you get nothing because they know your only faking it for the benefit of 'Claims Direct' :D:D

LOL

Or since the increase in claims there has been an international shortage of foam collars.
