For many months I've been looking forward to putting antera 143 18's (10" & 8") on my Z. Now a week away from the big day I find that they have been discontinued and the set I have ordered have been damaged badly in transit. Oh Bo***cks!

 

Sooo...what would you recommend as alternatives in the sizes? (18x10 18x8/8.5)

 

Azev AS. They'll look the wasp's nipples on a 300. Or Lenso RK's which I have on my Calibra. It was the first car in the UK to have them and I've never another car with them. Check out www.azev.com and www.lensowheel.com respectively. Both come in the sizes and offset that you need, but you'll need to check the PCD.

get hold of a copy of this months fast car there is a 3 page spread on alloys for the zx

13 sets of wheels all on the car so you can see what they look like,other than that the mag is crap.(in my humble opinion)

For what it's worth, I saw a 300 with Azev As a couple of weeks ago and didn't they actually looked as good as I expected. I did try to get Azev As myself as I'd always liked them but they'd stopped being made with the correct offset so I went for the 143s. Probably still available through special order but dead expensive that way I should think.

Slight confusion:

 

AZEV A = over-popular wheel that was to the early 90's what the TSW Venom is today.

 

AZEV AS = Very nice, rare, modular version of the A with bolts and a polished split rim.

 

I would never buy As as they're just oo common and dated, but the ASs are a different story.

 

Which fast car MONTH has the 300 wheels, November? I know most pulishers sell say Decembers early in November to confuse us?

 

The annoying little buggers seal it up so you can't read it in the shop?

AZEV has nice wheels for the Z BUT they are all too heavy. The AS-series is even heavier than the E-serie and weighs more than 37 lbs!
