Toying with the idea of a home respray.

I am going to primer the bodykit over the next week or so.

If it goes well I am going to chance spraying in colour.

I could always ask a bodyshop to continue or rectify :o if it turns out messy.

Anyway question is

How much paint to buy for Car, Full kit and Mid level spoiler...

Am I right in thinking 2-3 liters?

Cheers

Id say 3 litres.

Hello Fella,

I would say Ring Pete at PPS  i'm sure he would advise you on this 0191 5237677.

Deffo 3-4 litres! ;) :D

Seriously though, particularly if you're going for a paint that's a bit different i.e. mixed to your specs, flip etc, getting a bit over what's actually needed will allow for touch up's in the future.

Leigh.

4 will be plenty.

I used about that much because many parts had to be resprayed again.

Buy one of those all in one clothing things for painting. YOu can get them at Homebase, B&Q etc. Its not to keep the paint off you but to keep the dust from you,= or your cloths from getting on the paint.

When the paint goes on, every thing is attracted to it. you will be amazed how much comes off your cloths. Dust, dirt, washing powerder cloth fibers.

Ive just orderd 4 litres of Nissan burnt orange,But thats for a full respray on mySWB.Its best to get it weighed and mixed in one batch so to much is better than to little.

Hi Paul the color is Nissan A17 and you can get it at partco,Brown Brothers,Unipart.Trade its £72 a litre allthough i get it cost price through family. The problem is its such a new paint they wont have a certain powder in stock so be prepaired to wait a week or two.

Wet the floor too, keeps the dust down.....

We sprayed laquer on the floor. Thats traps the dust and then makes a nice shiney smooth surface to clean out the dirt before spraying.

That would work, but you can never get it all so wet it and you going to be as safe as you get.

Paint just loves to suck up dust.

I know. I found that out ;)

We also wet it. :D

We also had a huge dust extractor.

I know this sounds daft, but....

Disconnect the battery !! Static attracts all sort of s**t !!!

Alan..........
