still need help...

if no member can help what sort of garage would fit the TC?

yes in plymouth...

fancy a weekend away to fit it - i'll throw my missus in!

Don't have many weekends spare unfortunately.

It's really not that difficult, read the destructions and have a go yourself.

not really my sort of thing...

had to get my brother to change my headlight bulb!

Depends when you want it doing robb - I will do it for you but would have to tie the trip in with something else - such as a long weekend away wink.gif It's a 600 mile round trip FFS biggrin.gif Make me an offer and I'll respond accordingly - I love Stella Artois biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Stu,

I'll do it for you, but you need to come to my place. I'd guess it's a 500 mile round trip.

However, I have a mate who lives in Plympton (at weekends). I'll have a word with him to see if he would do it, of if he could recommend someone down your way.

Cheers. I finally did it. Took me two days but I did it!

Thanks for the offer.

Andy

Would be great if you could do it!

Wiling to part with some cash if you could, would even buy you a crate of Stella (reassuringly expensive)...

Last post is confusing me - who's this bloke in plympton, is that plymton, plymouth?

Yes that is Plympton, Plymouth - isn't that near you, or are you the Bristol guy ??

... I work in Plympton!

So between the two Andy's any chance of getting this fitted soon?

cheers guys

Robb

You and Warren can fight for my next free weekend. I have next Sunday (although I may start the day with a hangover) and the following weekend (I think). I reckon, all going well, that it takes about 5-6 hours to do this + calibration. I'm sure some people can do it faster, but I'm fussy about crimping, soldering and double checking my work. Of course, if you're both capable of soldering, listening and learning the we could have a fitting masterclass on the same day. (although one car will have to be outside as there's only room for one car in my garage)

Guys

This is a general heads-up on Racelogic Traction Control with regards to the *settings that the system is using*.

I got my Racelogic Traction Control installed on my Supra last weekend and it went very well, BUT the settings that were pre-loaded into the Racelogic system were NOT suitable for my car.

eg : set up for FOUR-cylinders, no soft-cut, medium-cut, or hard-cut tables, wheel diameters and ABS pulses per wheel revolution not set correctly etc.etc

The system is great but is only as good as the parameters that are set on it. I don't know the details of your group buy and it *may* be that Racelogic have set the system up already for a 300ZX in your case, but we had a Supra group-buy on this and it seems that it wasn't setup for the Supra, as delivered.

No problem as all you'll need to do is check the settings and make whatever changes are necessary. A chap called Phil Wall should be posting up about this later today or tomorrow. Also to make it easy to change the settings, it's almost essential to use a little applet designed by Graham Rudd. (he can supply it at no cost i believe).

So if any of you have just got your system installed and have tried it out and it's not doing quite what you expected etc., then it may just be the settings. we're here to help and give you the benefit of our knowledge on this.

i'm happy to answer any questions now if i can, but Phil's post later on should give more detail etc.

regards

Stu

Had exactly this problem with the one I installed on Saturday. Bottom line was that it worked with the default settings, but the cut was really harsh - it shouldn't be like that. My working configs are available in the other post about TC settings.

strange that you guys are getting odd settings, whatever settings mine came with work (and work well.. I'm sure the WRX that I had a play with this morning wasn't expecting it..). I'll download the settings next weekend and post them up.

The only problem I have is if I go down to idle and nail it round a corner or something (when the plugs have cooled down), sometimes a plug will foul because of the overly rich mixture... only seems to happen in 1st gear. Might be a dodgy coil pack not supplying enough juice to relight, usually sorts itself within 20m or so..
