Sorry, got work to do today (!). Can't spend much time here ..... frown.gif

Where is the ABS and how do I get to it. Its taken about 3 hours for me to get this far.

Stuart

RTFM ! biggrin.gif

It's behind the panel in the right hand passenger seat.

I have just uploaded dozens of pictues to my web space, some of them were photos taken during my install. Some of them may be useful. I don't have time to make them look pretty at the moment, but you can browse the lot at :-

http://www.btinternet.com/~pingram/

How the F**K do you get the seat up to get to it?

Stuart

I seem to remember :- remove the seat back, remove seat base, remove dozens of panels (I happened to have ALL of mine out at the time).

You'll need to run the cables down the passenger side under the carpet, across (under)the back seat and behind the panel with the ABS controller.

hehe

How do you remove seat base. I am trying but something is holding it in

Stuart - that back seat is a complete PITA to get out. You need to pull upwards where you feel the bracket at either side, about 4" in from the outside on each side. Don't snap your seat in half though wink.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Right this is pissing me off now. I can get them to budge. I can feel the bracket on at the front of the back seats and I an also feel something oposite them at the back.

I have no idea what to do. More detail please!

Stuart

Bit late in the day but......I reckon my TC is here, Why am I not sure you ask?

I was in bed so I got a parcel form from the P.O. and I need to collect it, Am going to have a go at fitting it tomorrow along with the new belts I shall get tomorrow (Fan and power steering)

Anyone got any idea's what tools I need for the jobs?

I may need to go buy a soldering iron, correct?

Ajay.......Love ya!! biggrin.gif

Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce... (sorry no sound!) LOL

Its in, WHooooooo. Took me six hours, 2 of them trying to get the rear seats out. Launch control needs setting up and other stuff needs setting up too.

Do you need to configue it with a PC does any one know? Cos testing it just on dry the wheels spin for a little too long before doing its stuff

Stuart biggrin.gif

RTFM ! smile.gif

Try with one wheel on the verge, or across someones cricket pitch ! LOL

It only works above a certain speed and that is configurable. See the other thread about the s/w.

guess i should tackle this this weekend, so who to ask who to ask biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif and no duffman is to far away lol.

Well if you came over on Saturday mate you might get some support at Andys and we can have a fight about SE if you like...LMAO biggrin.gif

Just had a quick read of the manwhel.. Looks like it's much quicker and easier to set it up via software than taking it out to configure it..

Now if only my car moved.....

Nope, you really need to teach it what to do. It's smart and it learns quickly - I used the work car park. It soon susses out which wheel is which and then you're away. Laptop config is only for fine tuning.

Oh Nooooo!!

I have to fit it then teach it what to do!

(sobs)

I bet this is going to be mre difficult then owning cyberpet!

(sobs more realising that his cyberpet died)

Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce...Bounce... (sorry no sound!) LOL

Configuration is SIMPLE - end of story biggrin.gif

One point to note is that when you do the test with the back wheels in the air, don't try the trick of seeing what top speed you can get out of the rear wheels wink.gif Because the back end is jacked up, the wheels are in their fully 'dropped' position in their suspension travel - the driveshafts don't like this wink.gif You have been warned - keep it sensible biggrin.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

I just configed my one. Just go to a car park, put in diagmode drive forward 30 years and turn 180. Thats it.

I dont know if its working properly yet because I rolled up to 3500rpm in 1st and floored it. This usually causes wheel spin, but I dont know if I just didnt spin because of grip or the TC kicked in. If it did it is fantastic, Hardly noticed it!

Stuart

Any one with TC already installed? If so whats it like when I works??

Yeah I've had mine in since the last GB - it is FANTASTIC biggrin.gif Get the car on a tight wet roundabout and floor it in first, then just wait as the smile stretches across your face... smile.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Can't speak from my own perspective, but was in AndyP's last week going to SE. Over the magics it was ACE! Don't think he had it on much percentage either wink.gif

You know when you get that feeling that yer car grips well but you're on the limit now...going to lose it big time...and nothing! You maintain grip and continue off at high speedy indeedy...LARGE!!! biggrin.gif

you should hear something .. unless you've got a quiet nana politically correct exhaust. Floor it coming out of a driveway, I mean foot onto floorboards floor it and you'll feel it come on. (well actually start dropping cylinders rythmically)

If it ain't working then you're obviously going to be very sideways so don't do it infront of oncoming traffic ROFL

stop all this talk, i mean with my exhaust making over 103 decibles i assume this is going to sound ultra cool, i cant wait, man

when i went in craigs car the first time i could not believe how fast you could go in the wet, just mind boggeling.

But im still getting it because it sounds cool biggrin.gif
