well we installed mine in a couple of hours if not less so I hope you've got it in by the time you read this msg.

Now lets here it for popping your launch control cherry - All you have to do is turn the little knob 2 clicks counterclockwise, press the green button once, put the clutch in, select 1st, nail right foot to floorboard, let go of clutch. Hold on. And grin like a mad bastard if it's wet (yes you won't believe how much fun launch control is in the wet LOL.. )

Rowan

(hope your clutch is strong)

My one came at 7:32.

I theory you can complain because they are not alowed to knock on your door before 7:30.

OK, does anyone know how to install it, seriously I have no idea of what to do biggrin.gif

Stuart

Stuart - I'll give you a hand if you want - whens an appropriate time for you???

CheerZ,

Andy

there is a tech section o the ttnet and im sure a few guys here have and rowan how does it sound apart form making you move forward in the wet in a manner that is not comfotable biggrin.gif

Hmmmmmm, I'm beginning to feel left out, where's mine?

Tim

Alex @ Racelogic just said to me "You'll know when it's coming on"

It sounds fekking awesome.. like a popping sound, but loud (esp with a nice loud exhaust like yours). Crackles and pops on the overrun if you get it right in time with the gear change. Sounds like a racecar. Good n fun.

INSTALL THE BLOODY THING..HURRY UP THEN!!!

Dont sulk Tim wink.gif

There obvious reasons why we have it first, either

A) We are more important than you,

B) We are better looking than you,

C) We are shitter drivers than you and need as much help ASAP to keep us on the road.

Warren and I think its because of reasons A and B, but you may disagree wink.gif biggrin.gif

Stuart

Bo11ox!

It's just arrived - yipeeeeee!!!!!

And they didn't frank the stamps so I got £6.45 back biggrin.gif

Bugger, I can't fit it today I'm decorating frown.gif

Tim

PS: Stuart your bloody right I don't agree with you, must have been 'C' lol

lol i agree its definatly a and b

whoo hoo lol it looks like were all getting it

Well at the moment my carpet is up, my ECU it out and Im ready to go. Hehehe.

Stuart

I did refer to this when I installed mine and I had a few comments that I passed back to the author but got no reply. I'll see if I can dig them up. Only minor but I felt it added some confusion (or maybe it was just my wiring smile.gif)

frown.gif I have to wait until tomorrow night before I can even look at my TC and I am out all weekend too frown.gif

Okay, I am going to organise a Weekend at Ajays and invite the Andys to come and install my TC for me! biggrin.gif

I'll even supply the drink and bikkies. Johnny can come along and do a group buy on Pizza again biggrin.gif

Found it - at last.

Like I said never got a reply, so draw your own conclusions. Anyway, in full, hope the formatting works :-

Bernie,

Just been referring to your TC install instructions and I have noticed an interesting anomaly. Don't know whether it's because your US car is different (mine is a Jap import), or Racelogic have changed something, or Nissan have changed something, but the wiring you specify for the wheel speed sensors is a little confusing.

You write :

Racelogic Wire TO ABS wire

red TO brown (8)

blue TO blue (11)

yellow TO orange (24)

green TO light green (6)

Having checked the manual the channel order of the Racelogic system is :-

1 Red

2 Blue

3 Yellow

4 Green

Therefore you end up with the sensors connected to the following channels :-

1 Rear Reft

2 Front Right

3 Rear Right

4 Front Left.

It would make more sense (to me) if you specified :-

TC Channel--TC wire--ABS wire-----Wheel

1-----------Red------Light Green--Front Left

2-----------Blue-----Blue---------Front Right

3-----------Yellow---Brown--------Rear Left

4-----------Green----Orange-------Rear Right

Great article though.

Regards

Andy

Ajay, happy to help with your TC install but I don't do house calls. However, you're not that far away ....

F*ck me this text formatting is a pain in the ARSE!

I'm just going through the distructions for this T/C.

I'd like to use the connectors that they've supplied.

Does anyone know if Maplin sell the crimp tool or even what is the tech term for these connectors/pins

Thanks guyz

Tim

Andy,

Can I assume that you wired up your T/C as you have described and It works okay?

Tim

You can buy the crimp tool in Maplin or Halfords etc, just the standard crimp jobbie will do. Personally, I solder the wires, then crimp the insulation - but that's why it takes me hours to fit it.

Tim,

No I followed the instructions and then when I was configuring it I worked out I it wasn't doing what I expected. If you follow the Racelogic instructions you'll do OK - if you work out which wires which. The box itself is smart enough to suss out which wheel is which, no matter what order you get them in. You will need, well I think so anyway, to configure it for different sized rear wheels, by default it assumes they are all the same diameter.

Scarey to think that I got mine on the 1st GB and some of you guys will have it fitted before me! AndyP(with me making cha) will be starting mine tomorrow hopefully and finishing up on Saturday wink.gif

Good luck all! biggrin.gif

Okay,

Sorry to be a pain guyz but I wann get this light smile.gif

I'm going through the wiring, in the installation manual the TC switch is fitted to the TC loom 'colour for colour'. But I don't have a blue wire. In the loom I have: Green, Red, Grey, Yellow, Orange and Pink.

Help!

Or am I being a pratt? Answers on a postcard biggrin.gif

Tim

biggrin.gif got mine at 08:30 this morning...

My auto electrician is already panicking and ringing round others to see if they can fit it!

should have it in by next christmas then frown.gif

Guess who's gonna be a pain today smile.gif

Talk about falling at the first - My car is a j'spec auto, I've taken off the bespoke electronics protector sheet, aka the bit of ply. Looking as to where to site the T/C box, there is nowehere to put it and still be able to put the ply back, how has anyone else tackled this?

Thanks,

I'm desperate to get this done but I'm at a loss frown.gif

Tim

SHIT!!!! Cut the wrong wire.

I havent even put the connectors on the ECU at the moment. The crimping is taking a LONG time.

Stuart

Thanks Andy,

Still a bit confused about the TC controller any ideas?

cheers m8

Tim
