I beat a Porsche 911. At some lights on the east lancs, pulled up on the inside wearing his suit and revvng his engine. I was about 3 car lengths in front by the time I reached 70 and let off.

No, it's just that they can't be bothered with young oiks driving cheap Japanese cars! Plus, they have more sense than to race on public roads with all the inherent dangers to their valuable machines and other road users!

p.s. How often have Nissan won Le Mans, or in fact..anything of any note, with their ill conceived contraptions?

When I was living at home, our opposite neighbour had a 944 and by his own admission he said that he didn't feel safe in it at over a 100mph and didn't rate the handling or reliabily of it much....

Porche drivers are safe. Hmmm that is why I slowed at 70 cos that was the limit, and the Porsche came past me doing over a ton a few seconds later. Hmmm safe. I dont think so. Sore losers. YES you are!

this is just the 300ZX, there is plenty more for 280, 260 and 240Z's as well

porsche have been racing for a lot longer time than nissan, 3 times as long maybe ?, yet nissan still beat them time and again...

i mean god when mercedes were in the fia gt championship they won every single race,

I'm not supporting Porker drivers by any means, but I suggest you try and bait a relatively new 911 turbo and the only thing you'll be seeing is his arse disappearing over the horizon. Having said that I must agree that you very rarely see super cars being driven they way they were designed. I've got a TVR that does 0-60 in 4.4 secs at the moment and no-one has tried to bait me yet. Perhaps thats because no-ones caught me up enough to do so :-)

Yeah I've raced a couple of 911s round here - I was expecting *SOME* form of competition but even after first gear I was at least a car length in front The roads round here are class for sprint racing - theres one stretch where the traffic lights are spaced just right so you can have race after race. On the last set of lights he was nowhere cos I was an extra set in front

Hi losers, I used to own a MKIV Supe (one of those things that kicked your asses at TRAX), and now have a 993 model 911.

 

What are you guys racing, 1970 911 SC's?? Try it on with any of the newer porkers, go on, I dare you. Work out the power to weight ratio of a new 911 vs a bloated 300zx. lol!! Also try and make your cars go round corners at anything resembling a decent speed - ROFL!!!

 

Combine that with the fact that my car is worth more than 10 times a ZX value, so you haven't really got an awful lot to loose if you crash your cars. A new door for my car probably costs as much as your entire car put together - hahahaha.

 

I put my 993 up against one of the MKIV bbs guys BPU'd 'Supe, and there really wasn't an awful lot in it, sraight line. Now looking at your results at Trax that would translate into an arse kicking for the ZX.

 

Want to know what car holds the current Nurburgring production car lap record? a 996 model 911. Oh well. Go figure.

Well I would be pissed if I spent £25,000 on a second hand Porsche and got pissed on by a a £6,000 Nissan or,£65,000 brand new 911 (996) is the only good one by the way, and then only perform slightly better than a 10 year old car.!

I would waste any ZX on a track with my 993. You just don't have the handling to compete. My car is also at least 400kg lighter, and you wouldn't be able to come close for braking.

 

996 the only good model? Any Porsche is a better car than a Nissan. In particular you obviously have not come up against a 993 TT, RS, GT2, GT1 etc etc etc. They would all leave you crying like a bunch of big girls....

Well after seeing you lot going around Trax I have to say that if most Porsche drivers wanted a race you would have serious problems keeping up. Most of you had problems keeping up with the MKIII Supra's!! ROFL.

 

I have driven a Porsche 993 model 911 and it was extremely responsive and was very well balanced. Also the brakes were excellent.

 

If I had a choice between a Porsche or a 300ZX. The Porsche would win every time. Come on.. most people can afford a 300ZX, how many of you can afford a Porsche??, but if you lot saved all the money you had spent on your 300ZX's you might be able to afford a Porsche !!! ROFL !!!

 

To be truthful Porsches are good, and the 2 that I have beat have been about M reg, and not the 70's 2 litre stuff.

I like Porsches, the only one I would realistically want would be the 911 Twin Turbo (996). Yes they are faster, they are lighter, the have larger turbos and a larger engine than the ZX, they are 10 years younger, 10 years more technology and they cost twice as much as the ZX did.

I am not making excuses, I am stating facts.

We can all moan and argue about who beat who. We can all make a fast car. Its easy to put a V8 supercharged engine in a Nova or Escort, and that will piss on both ZX and Porsche. The reason we dive these cars is for the style. In very few times we are legaly able to open our cars up as see what it can do.

Porsche drivers have the money to buy a Porcshe, for the name style and performance. ZX drivers like it for the performance, style and the rareity of the car. Why the fuck are we getting into petty squabbles over it. Who gives a fuck!

Why cant we apreatiate other cars for what they are, with out having to compaire than and skit them. I am a fan of all cars, love the varity of cars on the UK roads.

I like it when other car fans come on to our forum for constructive discussions and not make fun, try to be-little or just be down right rude. You do no favours for yourself or for other Porsche drivers or what ever car they drive.

 

Just my thoughts.

I have all the respect for Porsches.

It is very powerfull and good looking car.

In other words you get what you pay for.

 

But I'll tell you something. I bought my Z for 5K. If I spend 1/10 of what you spend to buy your Porsche you've got no chance.

 

You will loose. Keep that in mind. And there are Z out there that can kick you ass any time any place.

 

 

Supragirl you have a fuckin nerve!!! After complaining about one of our members coming onto your forum and talking in the way you just have..... Do as I say not as I do???? Yeah right.

 

Oh and btw - Trax was the first time on track for most of the 300s - I think only one had ever been on a track day before!!! And after my experience on the first corner of the first flying lap (which has now been sorted) I was in no mood for racing against dnagerous people!!! The supras at trax showed blatant disregard for what had been said in the drivers briefing!!! I am not trying to start an arguement here - just stating the facts! Now Kemble, what can I say about kemble??? Porsches pulling over to let me past - NUFF FUCKIN SAID!!!!
