Everytimg i start my PC this last week or so, SpyBot displays 20 (yes TWENTY!!!!) warning messages! It's requesting me to either allow or deny the changes. Attached I've cobbled-together all 20 messages as displayed on the screen (they come individually, one after another is clicked).

It's really starting to do my head in, most of the time I press deny, but sometimes I've allowed the change, either way it doesn't seem to make any differance. And then the next time I start the PC they are there again  And, yes I have run a complete, updated SpyBot check, and AdAware, and Norton AntiVirus, and AVG all with updates!!!

Please help :headvswal

The Spyware removal tools are not removing the the spyware entirely, and apon each restart they are just re-intialising themselves.

p.s I presume you click the "remember this decision checkbox" ? u did'nt say

1. Run the removal tools while in Windows safe mode.

2. Try out Microsofts new Spyware remover - "Microsoft Anti-spyware" . Its in Beta form, but its very good.

3. Ad-aware have launced a new version called Ad-Aware SE. This has made some major improvements over previous versions.

4. Stop going to all those dodgy porn sites where they are being installed from ;)

A quick one to try would be to go to the control panel, then to add / remove progs and look on the list to see if something called adtool services is listed there. If it is, uninstall it, restart then do your spyware sweeps again.

This little blighter isn't killed by the sweeps and just re-downloads the crap you've just deleted in your spyware scan.

HTH

Tried a registry cleaner? Had some wierd shit on mine, done a shareware one (limited to 30 entries) run it about 100000000 times....no prob.

The windows beta spyware remover (as Leg says) is excellent...install it and you will not be disapointed.

Thanks guys, I've down loaded and run the new Microsoft Anti-Spyware software. It found a few bits 'n bobs. I then re-booted and the same items came up again, but this time I've pressed "Remember This Decission". I din't do it last time, because I wasn't sure why things were being changed in the first place  But anyway, sod it this time, we'll see :D

Whats wrong with 'About blank' as your homepage?? If you're on dial-up, I'd recomend that anytime, as you arn't waiting for a page to open, that you may not want to go to first anyway. Mines always on 'About blank' and I'm on BB.

But saying that, what Anti-Spyware are you using? Because this new Microsoft one seems very good indeed, well worth a try if you've not got it.
