Usually means power steering fluid needs topping up..

Top up the fluid and also check ya connections are ok, mine is on all the time but then i have taken my Hicas off line so it dont work...:D

Thank you :-) I have topped up the fluid. Where are the connections I need to check and what am I checking for? Sorry if this is a dumb question - you could fit what I know about mechanics on the back of a postage stamp :D

Mine has done this twice in three years, I switched the car off re-started and all ok for another 1.5 years,...here I go tempting fooking fate again :rolleyes:
