I've got an imported TT and I replaced the speedo with a UK unit rather than having a conversion done. Because of this my cruise control only works up to 68mph, so it's fairly useless!

I've found a guy in Australia who has designed a circuit board which you can fit inside the cruise unit. This will allow the cruise to work at higher speeds (I think around 98mph).

I'm planning on ordering one of these soon. If anyone else wants a unit, let me know and I'll get them shipped over at the same time.

The circuit board is $60AUS (about £21), or he will fit it for you if you send your cruise unit to him (in Australia) for $90AUS (including return postage).

Mines a Jap import with Auto and I had my speedo re-calibrated and the cruise works at well over 80mph.

Why did you swap speedo's?

Did you ever fit that speed Defenser I sold you?

If you get the speedo recalibrated, the cruise is recalibrated too, so it should work up to around 110mph.

If you do what I did and get a UK speedo, or just get a new speedo face, the cruise works up to 110kph (around 68mph).

I got a UK speedo because I preferred it to the Japanese one and I didn't fancy having a sticker put on it.

I did fit the SLD, yes. All I can say is that it works! I wouldn't like to incriminate myself by mentioning 130mph on the M25 or anything. :-)

Been cruising at 110 have we?
