AFM Reconning

As some of you may know my afm broke the other week so i fitted another and thought - surely afms can be repaired ?

 

Is it just a resistor and a thin piece of "fuse" type wire that breaks ?

 

Or is it something stupidly electronic?

 

Thanks for any help - and if anyone wants to send me broken afms id love to see if i can recon them

    MAC1 did this a few years ago.

     

    Cut open the top of the unit and then resoldered all the solders.
