Hi,

would anyone know a good alloy wheel refurbishers in London, or a stockist that still has TSW Hockenheim wheels.

I have used Spit'n'Polish and have been quite satisfied with the results. You need a contact in the trade though as they will only collect/deliver that way. Think they are actually based in Tonbridge.

20 8239 0600 phone xoticar and tell them warren from the 300 club sent you, they use a guy who travels mobile. he is fantastic, for two years no one wanted to touch my split rims, and this guy fixed them in about 2 hours.

absolutyl superb.

actually spit and polish have franchises.

We have one in Ipswich. 4 day turn around. You can also mail the wheels to them.

I've heard good things about them too.

I'm also just about to get my yoko avses done.

Main problem I'm finding is that the franchises won't keep the car for 4 days, you have to just leave the alloys. How exactly I'm supposed to get all the alloys off my car (leave it on bricks! ?) I've no idea. Don't fancy leaving it on axle stands for a week either...

I took my alloys to spit and polish and they returned them to me with a scratch down the entire lenght of the wheel, and told me they wont touch split wheels frown.gif

anyway not trying to blame anyone or say anything bad.

I have two sets of wheels - yah, boo, sucks etc.

Would be prepared to lend them to someone for a few days if they're hombre mucho desperado ....

I had the experience of seeing the horror on Johnnys face when he kerbed his alloy, and then seeing the delight on his face when Duffman repaired it with STICKING PLASTERS.

Stu,

I don't think (fairly certain) that Spit'n'Polish have franchises, I think they have agents, which is subtly different. Basically what happens is that they collect throughout the SouthEast on fixed days and deliver back about 3 days later. But they will only collect from the trade. They charge about £38 per wheel or a little more if there is damage to be repaired. My mate pays them in cash, I pay him in cash and he doesn't make anything out of it. You may pay more if your local gaff is taking a cut.

mna xoticar did Johhnys car in about two hours both wheels while we went for lunch.

Johhny was crapping himself that they would not get it right, anyway ask johhyn what he thinks they did an awsome job, no one wanted to touch those wheels.

So.... thanks to Willyed, I put mine into

the local agent/franchise/whatever for pristine alloys:

http://www.britisha2z.net/pristine/

I chatted with Pristine on the phone and they seemed to know a lof more than spit and polish, and as this is for my Super Advan Racing jobs, I'm not taking chances.

They went it at beginning of week (59 per wheel). I was supposed to get them back today, but one didn't come out quite right, so they are doing it again (they spotted this, not me). So I should have them monday.

I hope to god they look good.

cool, the guy i used at Xoticar did my wheels on the same day, they do them while you wait.

Johhny had his done there and (the blitz fancy ones)and the guy fixed it in about an hour. plus when we got back we could not see where they were damaged to start with.

However, the guy who did Johnnys has also mashed the gold paint off the edges of the castings where the studs/bolts go. So now he has to get that repainted. Shame isn't it, one part done brilliantly and but let down by something careless.

hmmm funny no one tol dme that.

hmm johhny thanks for telling me
