The new owner will need to get an MOT immediately if they have to tax it though and their insurance will not be valid for driving it away unless they have trade plates :nono:

it's not the problem,i just need someone who can do a new registration certificat for me(not really a selling)cause for the french registration i need a good condition certificat but mine is damage(on a bike travel on the rain,the registration cert was completely wet,have forget it was on my leather jacket)

but if DVLA issue a new log book,they do it at the old owner adress(who is living in FRANCE now).

i need the log book only for the registration in FRANCE.

You can send the log book to DVLA to have a change of address done and / or change of ownership listed, just use a friends address in the UK as a 'care of' address. All you need to do is complete the changes section on the log book and send it off.

 

If the log book is that damaged that you cannot use it then get a form V62 from any Post Office and send that off - will cost you £19 though to do it that way. Either way this will get you a new log book so you can re-register the vehicle in France.
