How to take edges of wheels off?

I just bought some second hand alloys.

 

They're nice but have little bit of corrosion on the edges of the rim.

 

They look like these rims are removable - they look like they're held on to each wheel with about 12 recessed bolts (maybe so they can be removed and refurbished / replaced if they get curbed??).

 

I took the bolts out but the rim wouldn't come off. I gave it a few bangs with a rubber mallet and tried to lever if off gently with a screwdriver. But it stillwouldn't come off.

 

Any idea how to get them off - the wheels are Oz F1 Cup?? Or do they not come off at all?
