One for the IT chappies here I think,

I appear to have a virus I can't seem to kill - on the PC that is

it is called Lazarus.2222 and lives at

c:\WINDOWS\system32\indexindicator.exe ??

Symantec/Norton thingy has found it OK and keeps popping up the warning but it can't access the file - message "file access denied" appears when the anti-virus s/w tries to quarantine or kill it??

Computer seems to be working OK still.

Any ideas how to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Richard :(

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

if it is saying access denied it means the program is running.

Goto task manager by right clicking in the task bar and then select task manager or hold Ctrl Shift and Esc and that will bring it up. CLick on the processes tab, and in there will be one called indexindicator.exe or something like that. Select it and then click end process.

Run the scan again and it should be able to get rid of it.
