Carpets

Has anyone here tried to dye the fitted matts in the zed? I have a set of 2 tone gray ones, that i need to dye black, then get the edges re bound, and have no idea if there is a special dye to use?

    I have a gallon of black dye.It wotks well but a bit of a job.

    I'll look and see where i got it and post here.

    How it turns out will depend on how much of the fibre is man made, i would have thought there would be a lot of nylon in a car mat, but I'd give it a go if it was bothering me, or just see JD about some ally ones?

    I really really want black ones, and get the edging rebound in cream....

    Tonight, my mrs has dyed the fitted mats, but they didnt turn out too good, its hardly changed the color at all...well miffed now...

     

    I have ally mats in my other car, and dont really fancy them now to be honest...
