Hey my third post, sorry jus discovered this forum for UK ZX peeps. Basically i got a new battery put in and reconditioned my altenator. Thing is b4 getting a new battery n reconditioning it, my car wud have the power light on when i wud put my foot right down and sumtimes power wud cut out if i was braking to go very slow. Now after getting a new battery n recon alternator, the car cuts out hardly maybe once in a month, n the power light hardly cums on. But after this alteration this shud hardly happen so im assuming the person who reconed the alternator didnt do a proper job? Or cud i be gettting a power loss elsewhere?

If your talkin' about the orange ''power''light bud-that's for the auto box,if you got a manwell you got probs!!!-stick your foot to the floor the light should come on,or you can switch power mode on with the power/hold switch.

when you say power light do you mean the yellow light to the right of the steering wheel?. asuming you got an auto, then this will come on when you floor it, making the car rev range higher. normal to do this. the switch on the gear select console marked, POWER HOLD. when in power postion well light up this light too.

Try what I said bud swith it to power and the light should come on!

If your not in power mode just floor it and the light should come on-if you come off the gas the light goes out again after a few seconds.

If all this works sounds like you ain't got a problem!

Yeah i mean the power light on the right of the steering wheel, which cums on well used to when i floored it, but thing is it hardly cums on now but my car still does cut out but very rarely. Another thing is when i put my headlights on the in dash lights will dim, does this happen with u lot?
