Does the Zed TT like being used around town on a daily basis?

Thinking of buying one and this is the one doubt apart from running costs.

The threads on here make them sound unreliable or is that just me being paranoid?

paranoia nobody ever posts to say there cars are runnin well !!! i use mine as a every day car and its only let me down once and that was a duff battery.on short runs though take it steady let her warm up and other than the usuall niggles she should cya right BUY 1

the reason it seems there unreliable! is this is a help and discussion section used for people who need help mechanically and mentally :D

i use mine round town on a regular basis not one fault other than fuel economy around town :smash: on motorways etc its fine, use the boost and watch the fuel levels go down LOL

And it tempts fate to boast about how reliable your Zed is! However, and with fingers firmly crossed, I've had mine for 5 and a half years as a daily driver, commute to work, long runs and it didn't seem to me to have any more problems than any other 10 year (15 now) old car.

Don't over-mod, avoid snake-oil, get a well maintained one and keep up the maintenance and you should be fine.

Also, and I speak as a manual owner, if you are going to do a lot of town driving, consider an auto.

As above really....

...The ZX is essentially a reliable car - it's a Nissan afterall. But like any 10-15 year old high performance car, it will need looking after properly and without doubt some parts will require replacement to ensure no problems will arise.

If you compare it to any car of the same breed and age - Porsche 928, Jag XJS, Merc SL etc, the ZX will be a bargain :D

Good luck

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Mines my dailey driver, in heavy traffic every day , no probs at all mind you i,ve got a uprated radiator .

It,s a auto and there spot on for town driving but i am a lazy git, go on you know you want one.
