air bag

my j-spec is a 93 and has a air bag warning sticker under the hood,plus a separate ecu for the same,i wanna know wich part of the dash does this thing exit from as cant work out how it would protect driver iff not fitted in the wheel :( :(

    quite poss the driver's side has been disconected. do you have an after market steering wheel?. if there's one on the passenger side you will see a v faint oblong line just above the glove box.
