I think that's in the instructions on TT.net (which in my opinion need some subtle mods, I emailed the author but go no response).

That involved taking the control box apart and remounting the controls on a piece of perspex, I managed to fit the whole controlbox in a slightly modified ashtray.

Having fitted your TC

 

If you feel that the TT.net instructions need modifying could you edit the text from the write up and publish it here, on our forum.

 

I have read through it and thought that I'd use it for the install. If there are areas of the walkthrough that are lacking I'd rather like to know before I start the installation! lol

PS I've pulled the copy off the site if you want me to email you.

It's only a very subtle mod, but the connections to the wheel sensors are made in a bizare and confusing way, like RR FL RL FR, whereas I would have made them something like FR FL RR RL.

Not a big deal, just makes confirming it's functioning right from the RS232 interface/menu system more obvious.

I'm willing to help people, but they need to come to my place as I'm not a mobile mechanic !

 

Fitting is pretty straightforward though and anyone who can follow instructions, use a soldering iron and is not colour blind should have no trouble. Does help to have a laptop running DOS or W95/95 though.

Are there any other Auto owners out there, who are definitely buying Racelogic, that do NOT want Launch Control and Full Throttle Shift? The reason I ask is that the price MAY come down. And may I please re-iterate MAY as I have not yet spoken to Johnny himself.

Not utterly useless, no - they can still be used with an Auto, with a bit of tweaking but they will probably get more use on a Manual.

Okay, have just spoken to Johnny and if you don't want/need the Launch Control feature, the price comes down to £535.

Unfortnaley Ajay I am not going to be able to go for this group buy. I just found out that I am going to be a dad for the second time, woohoo!!!. So it looks like my spending on the Zed is going to be put on hold for a while. I don't suppose you fancy organising a group buy on pampers LOL!!!.
