1. when the car goes into safety boost it reduces boost to 7psi and retards the timing ?
2. when u fit an electronic boost controller the ecu can no longer reduce the boost if it goes into safety mode, but it still retards timing ?
...so if you have a electronic boost controller you could be running around in safety mode with retarted timing(affecting performance) and never know it without running a ECU diag ?
...also do aftermarket ECU's (such as JWT) have their own safety modes built in ?
