I was coming up to about 5/6 cars behind a slow moving truck on the A45 (dual carriageway fyi) the other day.

Ahead the road narrows to one lane for roadworks. I pass the 800 yds sign (ie fooking miles lol) so blat the 200 down to 2nd gear and overtake the cars.

The truck sees this and for some reason known only to himself, swerves across into my lane to stop me passing! :wack:  Causing me to break v v hard down to about 40/50 from much much higher) and then struggle to get in behind him becasue of the trail of cars bunched up. Then we pass the 600 yd sign...

What a to55er, why do people feel the need to impede a quicker car's progress for the sake of it, causing a risk to all cars around them?

Glad I wasn't rushing my ill child/pregnant wife to hospital etc. I'll always move over for quicker moving traffic, whats the point in not doing so?*

"Lets stop the 'speeding' driver by murdering him and any passenegrs, and any other drivers caught up in it" :xxx::mad:

Today coming the other way, doing about 10mph , another truck crawling behind me did it to a quickly approaching car. FFS :xxx:

So what you're actually saying is that your s13 is so slow you couldnt overtake a truck?

I've gotta do a bikini wax on your missus at 11.....

It wasnt my fault - she's got a muff like a yeti's

yep...the're twits who pull out cos all that happens is motors bulid up behind you all he has done is make the lane merge happen 600 meters earlier than it needed be...why not do it 3 miles back...or in the previous county?

I'm a bit of a lunatic when stuff like that happens, I just see red, I shouldn't admit to it really cause I'm not proud of it, but there was a similar thing happened to me, when I eventally got in front of him, I slowed down untill he was stopped got out give him a good verbal 4ucking, thing was when I got to his cab he was twice my size, but I thought shit carry on or he'll notice and just waived my arms around more, got back in my car and managed to stay in front of him till there was a steep hill, then I slowed him down to almost stopping point and accellerated away leaving him struggling in first, flashing his lights.

Pete, you should have pulled along side him and give him this look,he would have paped his pants mate:D;)

One thing that really pisses me off is when your in traffic and a lane is closed, your 200 yds from contraflow start - nose to tail, and some Prick in a beemer pulls out from 5 cars behind you, nails it down empty part then tries to force his way in 3 cars ahead - everyone is bumper to bumper ffs and he STILL thinks he can squeeze in !!!

:D i just make a little gap that he thinks he can get into, and as he goes for his move zooom no gap and the finger lol

If you,d kept the 300 you would have got through!!!! :nelson: :x: eerrr even though I have bought half of it from you. :D

It wasnt my fault - she's got a muff like a yeti's

She hadnt last time I saw her :nelson: :wack: :wack: :D

Whats wrong with that?? :D

>400 yards and the lorry driver's a prick..

its the ****ers who steam down the closing lane and then force in at the last second that causes half of the queues in the first place.

(not on about you pete... as you were > 400yrds ;))

I know the feeling Pete.

My journey to work is mostly single carriageway A road, but a great deal of it is wide enough for 3-4 cars so overtaking should not be a problem.

However on a straight 2 mile uphill stretch there's usually the odd truck or coffin dodger in a Rover going 40mph. Most other drivers just sit behind the slow vehicle (perhaps because they don't have the balls to overtake or just drive slow cars like BMWs  ). It is still safe to pass as the road is wide enough for me not to cross the white lines, however if I dare to overtake all these people, it's a fair bet that one tosser will move to the right just to stop me. It's not so bad in the ZX as I can still pass quickly, but in the Rav it can be dangerous. :nono:

I just don't understand their mentality, surely the slow drivers don't really want me on their tail and would be glad if I just fecked off away from them??

B@stards!

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

im a truck driver and the only time i would do that is if there was a copper ahead, saving you from a speeding fine

orif there were vehicles in front of me and you wouldn;t be able to get in in time

until you have driven an HGV its hard to understand some of the things they do

otherwise he was just an ignorant :xxx:

i was swinging wide to turn left once, and some tosser in a ford ka thought he could beat me up the inside

i didnt se him coming

and i crushed the f@@king car under the trailer wheels

bet he wont do that again :slap:

The wide road does look inviting, but can be lethal, when cars on either side decide its wide enough and go for the overtake disasters will happen.

I know of one case locally when this happened the two overtaking cars had to cut in quickly which in turn cut up a woman travelling along minding her own buisness forced her off the road and killed her!!!!!. then one of the feckers who caused it foooked off and left the scene never to be found !!!!!

I dont have any problem with speed when the road is clear but to overtake in un-safe conditions just cause your a bit late for work dosent cut any ice with me especially when all you probably save is 30 seconds.
