Evenin' All

I have got an SPA dual digital gauge for oil pressure / water temp on its way, and was wondering where best to mount the water temp sender unit? Also do you know what size of sender unit mounting I need to fit the water pipe? I have seen the usual generic ones in the Demon Tweeks catalogue - the machined aluminium type. Anyone on here sell them? Would rather spend my money with folks on here. ;)

Thanks

Derek

Smithy can get a hard rad pipe made up and if you send him the boss from the sender, he can get it fitted in already, so its just a case of screwing in the sensor.

Greddy also make a inline adaptor that fits in your top hose , you just cut a section out and fit the adaptor in its place.

Dont know wot thread was in the adaptor cos i had to re-tap mine as my senders were 1/8 npt thread.

Also doubles up as a bit of bling as they are anodised :hyper:

Ok. I'll try Chris at GetGreddy then. I like the hard pipe rad kit but can't really budget for that right now... From what I see pressure senders are 1/8 BSP usually, and temp senders are 1/8 NPT. Except on this car everything seems to be 1/8 BSP as it's Japanese... :-( I don't suppose you remember what internal diameter the top hose is? Cos Demon Tweeks do one with the correct thread in it already, so saves the need to get it re-tapped. They do a 35mm one and a 40mm one...

If i remember right it was 35mm but i found the top hose actually got a bit wider towards the engine end making one end a snug fit and the other a bit loose but it tightened up alright , dont know if this is normal or it had expanded a bit over the years

Probably easier to pull ya top hose off the rad and make sure (my memories not wot it used to be ):slap: HTH

if your on a budget get the adaptor that sits between the top hose just cut the hose in half and fit the adaptor between screw sender in and hey presto job done. costin approx £25 available from chris@getGReddy !

I got the hardpipe kit and got smithy to weld the sender in looks profesional :)
