just wondered what power someone needs to be pushing out to justify putting on a twin pop intake ??

As far as I'm aware it's for anything beyond 450bhp. Remember, when you install a twin pop and pushing that level of bhp you'll also need to upgrade the fueling system (incl. injectors) and ECU mapping.

CheerZ,

Dan

I have read that a twin pop will help with lower power over the single intake, seeing quotes of 10bhp increases over a single. but is it worth it when you have to buy the Dual POP, 2 cone filters and ECU chip just for 10bhp?

But when you get over 450bhp the twin pop benifits increase.

forgive me for sounding nieve.... but.

what's a POP?

gotcha ;)

The MAS has a limit on how much air it can meter - at ~450bhp it maxes out and can't read any higher airflow. You then have to split the 2 banks so the MAS is only measuring half of the total incoming air (1 bank), then reprogram the ECU to take this into account.

It is ESSENTIAL to do this for anything over 450bhp or you will under fuel and blow your engine into the middle of next year....

Unless you're running bigger turbos AND bigger injectors, then there is certainly no need for this mod...

MAS....

andy , yep i will have bigger injectors along with the following :

Garrett Hybrid 360 Stage 2 turbo's

Mongoose Exhaust inc Divorced Downpipes and Decat

Greddy Twin Intercoolers

Mocal 19 Row Uprated Oil Cooler

Blitz SBC-ID3 Boost Controller

Smithy's Braided Fuel Lines

New O2 Sensors

PCV Valve's and Hose replacement

Exhaust Gas Sensor Bypass

Water Bypass

Nismo 555 Injectors

Blitz Sus Air Filter

Custom Mapped Chip by Baggins

what u think ?

MAS - Mass Airflow Sensor (airflow meter)

Thats going to be close to needing the twins but I don't think you'll actually need it in fairness. Any more info on the turbos?

Oh, the 450bhp limit is at the wheels btw ;)

erm..turbo's are stage 2's from baggins. they are ..Stage 2 Hybrid 360 Thrust Bearing, Larger Compressor Housing and Wheel, High Flow Exhaust Wheel and Housing, Adjustable Actuator, VSR Balanced 12-22psi
