You should say to Adrian flux, Sort it lads.

Who else is there too try, they quoted me £2233 declaired 450bhp to cover myself for mods thoughout the year. Which may seem allot to you but i was paying £1200 for a 316i on a 92.

i'm 21 with 3 yrs NCB, ok postcode, on a STOCK z32tt i got the following quotes...

confused.com £724

elephant.co.uk £737

bell direct £772

admiral £706

peopleschoice.co.uk £707

all the above are TPFT with no mods. for fully comp with basic mods they roughly wanted £1000.

hth jaffaZ32.

(i'll give adrian flux a go, they nearly always beat any quote just for the sake of it but they couldn't help SRRAE by the sounds of it)

Admiral were cheapest for me, my renewal is up in april, going to try houghton but not holding out much being 23 :(

Confused wouldn't insure me.

It could be because mine is a import with mods, i'll give it a proper ring around nearer to the time. would be nice to get it below £1500.

 How the hell you can you justify spending that much on insurance for a year! I know the Zed is a great car but I could never say its worth that kind of annual payout. If I ever spend over 2 grand on something for my Zed I expect it to go faster afterwards :D

In Houghtons defence I must say they have been faultless with me. I am 28 and am paying peanuts compared to what any other insurance company quoted me. I know Houghtons only really come out on top if you use it as a second car with limited mileage.

At the end of the day the Zed is a mega quick car and am suprised that so many insurance companies will even speak to anyone under 25. I remember a few years back when I was 21 asking about insurance on a Cossie and the guy laughed at me down the phone!

That said, luckily there is Insurance companies that will sort you out I am sure and for less money than Flux I would think. Have you tried Firebond? I have heard some good things about these guys recently.

Good luck fella in finding a good quote:)

Fully comp in my TT is £300 per year with no mileage limitations and I get free breakdown (which I've used and it was better than AA cover!) and cover all reound Europe!

Then again - I am 103 yrs old and live in the outer Hebredes!

No seriously im 30 and live in Herts with no no claims bonus!

Carloe Nash use the same underwriters as Houghtons, so I think they will have the same age policy

I'm with Admiral, fully comp just under a grand and I'm only 24. Not bad imo. :)

reading this thread makes me feel good about being old

thinking of getting an s14 so i don't cane the zed to much

£183 fully comp

I got 380, FC with bell.

but thats standard and im 38 with 1 sp30

This will ahve to change as its modded now. mind you I only do 3k a year

I'll have to give these other places a try.

I'm just thinkin weather or not i should declaire my mods.

Jaffa I didnt declare mine for my zed, it was a 3rd party policy so my thoughts were that they wouldn't look at the car anyway if you boshed it as you'd have to fix it yourself. :)

My crash on the M6 confirmed that, they never even mentioned my car, just the other blokes lol.

Fully comp you should declare really.

Jap 90TT £480 F/C 5 years ncb with mods TESCO

Jap 91 N/A £510 F/C 5 years ncb standard TESCO

I Switched to another company and got the following

Jap 90TT £380 F/C 5 years ncb with mods

Jap 91 N/A £420 F/C 5 years ncb standard

I have 6 points SP30's,and have made 3 claims over the past 4 years. (Now Protected)

Can never figure out why the N/A cost more to insure than the TT.....There both Rice munchers

I Live just outside Liverpool and not in a bush in the middle of nowhere.

Strange init
