Illuminated 300ZX Panel

Hi Guys

 

Does anyone know the ouput from the EL panel inverter?

 

Does it run on AC or DC...think it is AC ?

 

Can anyone with an illuminated panel stick a multimeter on the outputs and let me know?

 

I have a panel that doesn't work and before I send it back to AndyZ as DOA I want to try and fix the problem if I can.

 

Any help appreciated....

    Martin, AFAIK the inverter inverts 12volt dc to 12volt ac (267-8857 £22.67 from RS Components, rswww.com)

    The sheets run from 20 to 200vac

    As Stated above, I use an RS unit to drive mine, the E/L panel is 12v ac so isn't polarity dependant. Get the RS unit and the instructions are self explanatary..

    Thanks Guys for the quick response. Will try to test the inverter tomorrow to see if 12v AC.
