How do fella, you want to get in touch with John Dixon and have a word with him :D as a lot of us do go to him ref ECU and chip up-grades

Prevously had a jwt in mine, now running a mines ecu.

Quite a difference tbh, much more aggressive. Optimax

only though.

I have a nice Central20 Racing chip for an auto, which some people seem very impressed with.

"quite a difference" good or bad,and what do ya mean in aggressive? lumpy low down or over fueling, dont wanna lose that docile feel around town or stuck in traffic iff ya know what i mean mate

Andy how much would you want for that if knowone else wants it that is.?

Yeah I have the central 20 and JWT switchable chip (cheers Andy) ;) in my TT Auto and although I havent tested properly yet (the central 20 that is) it did seem alot more responsive with the central 20 chip than the JWT :hyper: once the cars back from the good old Baggins Z master :D then I will give it a good proper test.

Cheers

Yes let me know mate :duffer: i will be interested to see what you make of the central 20 compared to the JWT.

I have a (no-name) or (copy) aftermarket chip in my zed that came with the car and my ecu was already socketed too....i dont go much on the chip in my zed at the moment...ive tryed a stock chip in the Ecu i had left from my previous zed and there was no real difference apart from the increase in boost...

No probs mate, will let you know, should have my car back for next weekend and will hopefully be ready for a real good driving session and at the same time I have ordered one of the G tech Pros from Chris GReddy so I could use that to see the difference between the central 20 and JWT buy switching between runs, this is gonna be great. :hyper: :hyper:

Boost is completely independant of the ECU - it has no control over it apart from safety boost/cold start protection ;)

Yes i know exactly....but the chip i seem to have i had a second opinion on and they didnt rate it much either seems pretty stock....it has no label nothing????i thought even copys had labels/sticker some sort of id....

So i thought it would be best to try another chip i may be able to trust....i have noticed a bit of det with this chip at mid rev range as well on part throttle so i dont trust it too much.....boost is at 13psi....

If it's currently detting in the midrange the I would expect this chip to be some way from standard. And if it does this with optimax the you better a) be careful, b) check the timing

Mid range detting is usually associated with EGR problems.....

It's also the point of max torque and most likely to det with tweaked ignition/fuel maps.

Ok...i shall check the timing on thursday as ive just recieved the central 20 racing chip and fitted it to my ecu....

I dont want to run this chip until then as its bound to be more aggressive....

Cheers for sending the chip Andy..... :duffer:
