1000vt Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 the warning light comes on when brake pedal is depressed, but all stop:tail light bulbs are ok :smash: what's the problem? Quote
mrogers Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Have your inner brake lights been converted to rear fog lamps? this will cause the warning light to come on Quote

Iff all your bulbs work, then I'd go for the low fluid level, it may not look low, but certainly worth a check. Mine did it, but it looked ok, then I topped it up just a little and it's been OK ever since..... about a year now :D Quote
1000vt Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 the brake fluid level is ok and it's just the stop/tail warning light come on,not the brake light . Quote
Daves_Zed Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Go to each bulb in turn and take them out and clean tham very carefully, one at a time and check again after each one is cleaned. Has it sounds like a dodgy earth connection in that case. HTH Quote
Guest andyduff Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Try replacing all 4 bulbs - known cases where a bulb gives a 'bulb out' light even when its actually working  Quote
Paul C Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Try replacing all 4 bulbs - known cases where a bulb gives a 'bulb out' light even when its actually working  it measures current draw. a bulb that has started to go can have a higher resistance, it will still illuminate but the bulb failure unit sees the incorrect draw on the circuit Quote
1000vt Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 thanks all, I'll look after finished changing my clutch Quote
