Does anyone have a copy of the 3 seutp disks that I can loan for a little project I have.

 

If some one can email me them zipped i would be hugely appreciative..... :bow:

 

I need to use the unformat command to retrieve some crucial data!!

Is it specifically the DOS disks you need, or is it just to retrieve lost data? If you specifically need the DOS 6.2 disks, the best I can sort right now are the boot disks for 6.21 or 6.22. If it's data retrieval you're after, I have a couple of progs just for that ;)

Well here's the problem.

 

I have an Intelligent 512mb Stick that I formatted but only a quick format, theres data on there that almost my life depends on?? Dont ask how I did it, a mistake when doing a fresh install of XP, I left it in the USB port!!! :headvswal :nelson: :mac1: :wack: :x: :mad: :(

 

Any ideas?

Mark - theres some software called Active@unerase undelete or Easy Recovery Pro

All of these should un-erase and restore your data for you

DOS 6.22 was 5 Discs ;)

 

But you only used the first 3 on a normal setup ;)

 

Why not use a Virtual PC program which lets you have many OS on one computer.

Yeah this is something that I have recently thought about. It really would make my life easier.....

If you still need it, i think i still have some floppys of DOS6.2.

we used dos to run the paint tinting machines when i worked

for ICI Dulux. I am sure there is still some in the office????

floppy is with a k afaik, short for diskette, whereas a cd or dvd would just be a disc
