Can anyone help?

I am looking for the mixture screw, does anyone know where it is?

I was told it is down near to the battery on the passenger side, is this correct.

I cant see it. :headvswal

That would be the base idle screw you are looking at, that won';t effect the mixture though, all that does it set the minimum idle of the car.

a bit of a thick question regarding the idle screw, but do u have to turn it anti-clockwise or clockwise to increase idle? reason i ask is you can get to mine without removing the battery as its blocked but poorley placed wires and other bits so i cant do it with the engine running.

Mike. You have mentioned the base idle screw.

Is this near the battery? This is what I cant find, do you know where I could find a diagram?

Its easy to see.

stand at the side of your car so the battery is closes to you. Look along the back of the engine. About 20cm past the batter you will see a big philips screw. Thats it. You have to unplug the connector first before you adjust the idle.

 THANKS FOR THAT. I WILL HAVE A LOOK THIS WEEK END
