right, my swb is completley stock apart from having a JWT chip and boost jets (not a very sensible setup)

so what should i expect/do to get it back to stock ecu and where will i find the boost jets so i can remove them?

thanks guys

Those wheels look MASEEF!!!

why is the JWT chip and boost jets a bad setup

and I could be very wrong but surely the boost jets would be where youd put a manual boost controller like on the turbo to throttle body hose?

Ive never hardly looked at my engine to be honest so its a wild guess

my cars completly stock (no induction kit, no free flowing exhaust)

plus jwt chip is pretty agressive

not oficially but i might be tempted if the price was right, the wheels and tyres are 3 months old, 1 tyre is brand new (puncture). 19x7.5 fronts, 19x9.5 rears

Reason I asked mate was just because Im having mine done next weekend

so when you say its agressive do you mean its fecking rapid :hyper:

As Ive never had my cars chipped before, previous turbo cars of mine have just had a boost increase because there was no need for a chip on the ecu like there is recommended on the ZTT

so I dont know what all the terms on chipping stand for like its an aggressive chip etc

I just thought you floored it and noticed a bigger torque at a certain revs... :nana2:

The Chip does'nt off any significant performance increase on it own, but what it does do is provide the ECU Maps needed for the higher boost levels, and takes into account any other modification you may have done also.

Its not abosultely required up to 12psi, its more ideal. Most/All other cars should have an ECU remap with boost increases, its just that often people dont do whats right.

Erm, a strange and unusual request ! You'll still see a significant performance increase with the boost jets and chip, the exhaust and intake won't make a huge difference. However, if you're hell bent on it I can send you an original chip of appropriate age for the car - I have loads of them from the ones I've removed.

And as for installing/removing boost jets, check for links from my site.

I had a rover 420 turbo before which standard boost blended from 7psi up till 10psi higher revs.

the standard mems ecu was capable of mapping up to 14.5ish psi which is where boost cut was anyway so if you fitted a gbe and set it to 13psi, it was quite alright..

Now obviously my Z is a different matter..

If you're a manwell, and still want to, we could swap ECU's - mine's off the road at the mo so yours wouldn't have to be...

i still have th stock ecu from my old car, i jus thought if it a piggyback setup i could remove it easily.

main reason im doing it is im not too keen on boost jets, i hardly ever kane it neway.

so once th boost jets are out i dont really need th jwt so i wanna sell it
