has anyone changed there rear wheel bearing on the Z, how hard is it and can you just get the bearing or do you get the hub aswell. oh and where can i get one from. cheers Chris

Featured Replies

I did mine, you have to take the hub out as the bearing is pressed into it.

Not too bad a job but the bolts are f@@@@g tight! so it took time..

Nissan recomend changing the flange that your wheel fits onto but that is not necessary.

Mike at MJP got mine at a smidge over ยฃ100.....ouch....

Yes, it is a lot..Nissan wanted 140 !!!!!!

I tried to source one elsewhere but was told it is only available as an oem part...

cant believe that but needed mine in a hurry.

I will have a look about and see if I can find one cheaper!

I got a bearing from a local motor factors....80 quid i think...was made by a quality manufacturer with 3 letters that right now eludes me....but it was like the bearing and the carrier that bolts onto the car so thats why its expensive.

I work in the motor trade Chris...when i phone for parts say that u work for a local garage or something to the company u are phoning....u might get a trade discount as usually i do.

Just spoke to SKF they said they might be able to help but a part number would help, anyone know what it is

You'll need the four digit code that's on the bearing. Anyone have an old one ?

Chris I know this phone number I have isnt local to you....the company I got mine from was called Brown Brothers, I think they are part of a larger UK company
