I don't know if anyone else has expierenced this but my Z made a loud squeak every time the brakes were applied hard. There is a rubber bellows around the brake push rod under the brake peddle with slots in it to allow the air to rush into the brake servo.I cleaned out the slots (carpet fluff!) and now no more squeak.Maybe the slots are closing up with the ageing of the rubber.

ive had that on my ride ever since ive owned it,did nt wanna put a thread up in case people thought i was hearing voices--lol, but anyway now i know what it is,thanks mate

what condition are your pads in as IIRC the z has a sensor or something that squels when your pads are very low

Pads are near new. This squeak definitly comes from down by the drivers feet.Caused by air rushing through a small orifice.....

I know what it is, โ€œreaches into his lucky dip bagโ€

Itโ€™s caused by using mice instead of brake pads.

ย

Mice are commonly used in performance cars for their high friction and heat dispersal.

Although they do offer these two plus points, users have found LOUD SQUEEKING and a SQUIDGY FEEL to the brakes.

ย

I recommend switching over to badgers, less sqeeking and last longer.

I have a mate who once asked me to help change his pads, when we pulled the wheel off and took his pads out we found a dead and very dry mouse stuck in between the calipers, I asked him if his breaks were squeeking at the time, but apparently not, but it did solve the dodgy brakes. sorry but its true and I couldnt resist it!
