I used the switched live to the stereo for wiring in my speed trap stuff, so it comes on automatically when the car is started and I cant forget to turn it off and end up with a flat battery. I think the fuse is 15amp for this which should be more than enough to run your tunes as well as the road angel. those that are into oopper dooper sound systems will probably say this is bad for the sound quality or something but i've got a fairly basic system and it doesnt seem to harm it... im a bit mutton anyway :D

do you mean won't work in the Z? if so should'nt be a problem

ive had both the old and new road angels in a Z and both work,

if you mean another car, then it could be it has a heated front screen

and in that case will need a special adaptor, try (if you can get it to reach)

temporary against the back window, but in ZX no reason why it shouldn't work on the front screen, or sit it on the roof until it picks up a signal

then move it to the drivers window, then gradually move it to the position you want it

as for hardwiring it, tidiest way is to run the wires under the dash (two screws above the speedo etc) then it can be very easily wired to wherever you want

To raise a valid point, Is'nt it illegal to use a road angel, I know its not illegal to own one, but is'nt it illegal to use?? Therfore, hardwiring it into your car proves your using it, and the law would love that!!

I may be getting confused with radar jammers??

no m8 perfectly legal

as you say laser jammer is;)

It's not illegal to receive, ie detector, just illegal to transmit to avoid prosecution, jammer.

Simon.

the missus has just done this bit of her course at police academy, jammers illegal, GPS doo-dads fine, some forces even encourage them and the radar detectors are a bit of a grey area and apparently there are moves afoot to ban em...

not that that will stop me using any of them! :D

I read in artical in the newspaper the other day saying that some motor companies are going to be fitting them as standard!
