I managed to fit the ECU tonight and got the lot done including jets before it got dark.

 

ECU was easy despite having to remove an HKS SLD that was fitted for me when I got the car. Pretty easy though as the fitter had used connectors to reverse the job easily, good man.

 

What a bastard getting the old hoses off though! Christ my knuckles have no skin left!

 

So all fitted up, test all clamps and hoses, drop the lid, put tools away, wash hands, lock door. Spark car up, all well and good.

 

Roll car onto road take it very easy till the car warms up then head towards the M3. Hit lights just before motorway. Goes Green, hit the loud pedal. JESUS CHRIST ON A BICYCLE WHAT THE FECKKKKKKK! Slow for motorway and head west down the slip road. Need to test if the speed limiter removal has worked so head for 120+. FEEEEEEECCCKKKK yes that works OK.

 

If you hear of a black UFO going 150+ down the M3 last night at 8ish then that'll be me!

 

Am I pleased or what? So those that do not have the JWT. Get one and get it fitted. V easy and more bang per bucks that just about anything.

 

BTW anyone looking for a HKS Speed Limit Defencer?

Three things to check...

 

Watch out, it's now very tempting to use your right foot huh? Keep you licence!

 

Check you boost pressure on a non stock-gauge, try to keep near JWT's reccomendations.

 

Check your timing, too low and you're missing out on lots of fun. Too high an you'll cause detination. go for (15deg maximum).

 

After a w/e with the new chip it is excellent. I keep forgetting how much differnce it made. When I pull away sharpish, I,m reminded!!!!!

 

It just has so much more go all through thre rev range. Wow I'm hooked. What next? Air intake perhaps!

Yep, intake. JWT POP or K&N style... You should ask around several people are upgrading their single to duel POPs. you might get one cheap.

 

I'm thinking of upgrading, but not yet!
