Hi guys this is my first post on here so first of all hello to eveyone!!
Ok heres my story,
i have recently brought a 1991 Japanese import 2+2, Automatic, Targa Top, Non-Turbo, Nissan 300zx.
I am well impressed with it accept for one problem, the car will cut out at ramdm times. It will sometimes cut out when idling, sometimes when your driving along. When your driving along it sometimes loses power then dies, sometime you canloses power then then it seems like its going to cut out but doesn;t quite, however now most if not all of the power is gone, the car will not rev above 2,500rpm or it judders and and the revs drop. This even happens in neutral, i can sit there with the car in neutral, with my foot welded to the floor and it will not climb above 2,500rpm before it revs down again, similar to the rev limiter at the top of the rev band. :headvswal :headvswal
i understand this is for the twin turbo version but i thought it would be the same, please correct me if i am wrong. As a result i appear to be getting this code "12*: air flow meter circuit".
Does anybody have any other useful information for me or advice and does this seem like the sort of problem that this air flow meter circuit could cause?? or does anyone have any other suggestions??
If anyone needs any further info from me please feel free to ask.
Any help is greatly appreciated, Many Thanks in advance, Vern]
