I was 20 insured through sabre, they should be able to help. houghton probably won't be able to help that young, their underwriters policy seems to change quite lot, but phoning them may help.

yeah, im 21. Insured through highperformance. However they are a bunch of :xxx: and i wouldnt recommend them.

Houghtons wont insure you 'til your 163. Try admiral, adrian flux or 1stquote.

i was 21 when i insured my tt a few months ago and adrian flux sort me out not a problem and cheap cosidering my age and the fact is a tt, although it is a uk car which may have made a difference?

I got mine through Admiral, £960 fully comp on an Import TT with mods declared for a 24 year old

 

Also they were extremely helpful...

I was 21 when i insured my Zed it set me back around 1500 through elephant but my drivin history is not great

im 25 and pay £600 fully comp with elephant and thats with zero no claims!!!

me too !!..old fart that is...1st Alternative £350 fully comp plus £80 relay and god knows what else.. bloody cheaper than the Vectra 2.5v6 that I part ex'd for the zed.

im 22 with 4 yrs driving, with a history of driving high performance motors ( used to be on my estranged knob of a fathers '98 porsche 993 GT2 insurance) with a crsh with a settlement figure of £13,500 in 2002 and it cost me £2000 all mods declared. ouch! joys of being a youngster! it was with Keith Micheals out of the back of Jap performance magazine, and they were the cheapest by £500!!!!!!!
